No Surface Beneath Us

about

Another foray into ambient music with a bit more of a cinematic bent.

It brings to mind a foreboding world where solid plumes of clouds give way to shelves of frozen hydrocarbons, bleak, lifeless. There is no place to stand. The brittle, icy plains are dotted with lakes of empty space, and give way at the slightest touch with nothing below but miles of frigid atmosphere. But even this barren place has beauty, the gargantuan sheets of ice glistening under the light of distant, twin suns no more than the size of peas in the grey sky above.
